Loans for Exhibition
MARBL will loan materials to other institutions for a temporary exhibition if
- the exhibition conditions meet MARBL’s requirements
- the material is not in demand by researchers.
If the original item cannot be loaned, a reproduction will be offered whenever possible. MARBL follows the Association of College & Research Libraries “Guidelines for Borrowing Special Collections Materials for Exhibition” (2005) and requires that the Borrowing Repository also adhere to these guidelines.
Institutions interested in borrowing materials from MARBL for an exhibition must submit the following:
- Exhibition Information form
- Facilities Report
If the loan is approved, the borrowing institution must then sign an Exhibit Loan Agreement.
