In the early 1950s, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) began broadcasting a weekly Sunday afternoon radio program of the Tuskegee Institute singers. This program, “Coke Time,” which ran for nearly a year, provided the group with additional national and international exposure. Also during this year, the Tuskegee Institute singers appeared on CBS's Charlie McCarthy Show. Hear a clip from that performance in the Related Media section below (7:59 min.).
