Postcard advertising the Crescent Youth Symphony performance of the Negro Folk Symphony in 1975.

In 1975, the Crescent Youth Symphony Orchestra of Greenville, South Carolina, gave a performance of the Negro Folk Symphony. During the concert, the Mayor named Dawson an Honorary Citizen of Greenville. The program was designated an official Bicentennial event by the Greenville American Revolution Bicentennial Celebration Committee. (archival materials)
