Session Two: William Dawson, Up Close.

Professor John Haberlen conveys the impact that his mentor, William Levi Dawson, had on him through telling stories about Dawson, including his graduation from the all-white Homer Institute in Kansas City, his affinity for Haagen-Daz ice cream and bottled water, and his decision to self-publish. Haberlen also shares with the audience rare video footage of Dawson conducting a rehearsal at Georgia State University in 1977.
