MARBL's Vision
The special collections of the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library are a resource for learning and scholarship unmatched anywhere else in the University.
MARBL's vision is to:
- Become a national humanities center and to be among the top five libraries in the country specializing in modern literature and African-American collections.
- Provide stimulating teaching spaces where Emory’s rich research collections can be incorporated into the undergraduate and graduate experience.
- Be a leader in helping scholars use technology to study collections in new ways, and to make the collections more accessible to the world- wide research community.
- Serve as an intellectual center for the campus where exhibitions, lectures, and readings bring these resources alive for the Emory community and for the larger city of Atlanta.
