MARBL will provide photocopies of materials in collections it holds for a fee. These photocopies are provided for use only in research and private study. Permission to reproduce does not constitute permission to publish. There is a separate procedure for requesting permission to publish, quote, broadcast, perform, or exhibit. MARBL abides by U.S. Copyright Law.

Information about fees is included on the forms and on the fee schedule page. Payment is required in advance for all photocopy orders.

In order to protect the materials from inadvertent damage, MARBL staff make the photocopies. Researchers may not use their own equipment. All requests for reproduction must be approved by a staff member. Requests may be denied if the item is too fragile, if it cannot be duplicated with available equipment, or if the size of the request will place an unreasonable strain on available staff resources. Only one copy will be made of any portion of a copyrighted work (including manuscript material). MARBL reserves the right to set limits on the amount of copying it will undertake.

Researchers are required to complete the following forms to request photocopies. Forms should be returned to MARBL by fax or post.

Photocopy requests will be completed in the order in which they are received and approved. Please note that there is an additional charge for large orders and rush orders. All orders sent to an address outside of the United States will be shipped using Federal Express.
