Dunaway (ca. 1906-1980) was a political activist from Atlanta who served as chairman of the STOP ERA Committee of Georgia. Her papers contain correspondence, subject files, and printed material focusing on women's issues. This collection includes extensive material concerning the Equal Rights Amendment, particularly material from the organizations STOP ERA and Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum, of which she was also an officer. Material relating to Dunaway’s nominations for Georgia State Mother of the Year and president of the National Federation of Republican Women is also included.

 

Digitized items include materials related to Dunaway's title as State Mother of the Year and a few items concerning the Equal Rights Amendment.
